Puzzle heavy emphasising vertical exploration - locked doors and impassable traps must be solved in order to get to the end. Stage 1 starting off above ground or at higher altitude before working down into Tombs and Temples. Each act sees Lara going deeper underground. I envision it being split up into Acts and stages similar to sonic games. Similar to the game boy sidescrollers but possibilities could be opened up to everything the TRLE engine can offer in terms of traps, enemies and a general sense of scale. Gameplay: Essentially this would be 3-4 stage level set comprising about 12 levels in total. I can imagine one act would involve a Tomb Raiding rival very similar to the Cambodia race against Von Croy to claim the Iris before there is then a boss fight and escape from the collapsing temple. Would generally be lighthearted and geared towards facilitating gameplay and boss fights. The graphics would have a similar 2.5D look to the new Abe's Odyssey. Parallax scrolling would give a sense of depth. Colourful and exaggerated over-the-top TR-ish elements. First I should make clear that I have no TRLE skills to speak of at all.īut this is an idea which has been brewing in my head for a while and I now feel the need to put the idea forward!
